I’m doing mix of applied and fundamental research, exploring ties among mathematics, ICT, life science and physics. Check my Pancakes left for some random stuff on quantum information, optimization, machine learning/AI, HCI etc. Lately, I got very excited about various biomedical applications and tools for omics analysis/synthesis.
Implementing reliable digital/analog circuits with bio parts and making cells more programmable will open up avenue of ubiquitous cellular microcontrollers with variety of medical, engineering, and interfacing applications. I also believe we can do much more beyond current medicine and healthcare by simply eliminating aging-associated diseases and making overall time less important. Some innovative engineering strategies, tools, and biotechnology advances with various data analysis could provide us with elegant synthetic therapeutic circuits and a route to the optimized physical condition.
Some current and past research explorations include ICT for Aging, Volker Wulf Group @ Siegen Uni/Fraunhofer FIT Germany; Fuji-Xerox Palo Alto Laboratory, Inc. (FXPAL) CA USA; Anton Zeilinger Group @ University of Vienna Austria; FER @ University of Zagreb in Croatia where I got my Dipl-Ing./M.Sc. in Computer Science; and shortly DAMTP @ University of Cambridge, UK.
